Took the picture of the arowana within the hour it was put into it's new tank. Still learning about arowanas, so I have no idea if this is a male or a female. It was really active cause I think it was trying to settle into its new home and my iphone camera cant keep up with it, so the pictures are blurred and the tail cant be seen properly in both pictures but you get my point.

Z got it for $25 even though it isnt in its best condition - it just got into a comm (community tank) fight. I guess it couldnt get along with the other fishes hahaha. But its Z's first arowana so Z didnt mind of course. Its a silver arowana, about 9 inches. I went to collect the aro at Pasir Ris on Tuesday and i was shocked to see that it was actually quite big (to me) even though I know people who have bigger ones.

I told Z it had to be fed small frogs and Z said that Roberta's (the flowerhorn) pellets would suffice but first and second day passed and Z got worried cause Z threw in a cube of frozen worms but all the aro did was NOT eat it. Z said they could go without food for up to 3 months the longest Z had heard.

So yesterday was the second day the aro was with Z, he seemed more calm and was swimming around slowly. Last night Z told me that the aro kept jumping.

I wonder if the aro jumped out of the tank when no one is home, would prince eat the aro or would he try to save it, since when no one is home, prince is kept in his room and the aro's tank is in his room too. I told Z that prince would eat the aro, cant remember what Z thought but I think Z said that prince would save it. I highly doubt that.

This is my safyre hamster which i got from Pets Lovers Centre at simei. He cost me $13 and its my first time buying a hamster. All my previous hamsters were abandoned or found. Really.

One day in sec 3, after school, I was walking with my friend to her house, then we walked past some squeaking bag at a void deck and I opened it. I found 7 adult hamsters and 4 newborn pink hairless babies in a tiny cage. Dont know which idiot wanted to throw them like that. I knew they were abandoned - a boxful of beddings, hamster food, and everything else a hamster needs is all in the box.

Anyway it was pretty obvious that someone was desperate.

I managed to rehome all the hamster except for the 4 babies and I randomly chose a hamster to keep with them cause they still needed milk and all that. They were that young. I hoped that it was a female cause that time I was new to hamsters and I didnt know how to tell them apart.

Luckily it was a female and I named her Korey. She never bit me and she was my favourite hamster. Anyway, I managed to rehome 2 of the 4 babies and so I had 3 hamsters. I had to separate Korey from the younger 2 because the younger ones bully Korey, so Korey had her own cage. But she died of old age after 1 or 2 years.

See this fathead and how he sleeps. So lazy, even though I find it kind of cute but most of the time Prince is always sleeping. See how he uses his hand to rest his head on just like a human being. After that he always walks funny after just waking up but a few minutes later he's alright, so Z concluded that maybe he had cramps and I think so too.

Prince is so stripey look at his arms. He is a tabby after all.

This is an ikan puyu, I cant remember what it means and Im lazy to google it now but it has been said that if a spirit enters a house, this fish will keep jumping out of the water, as if to alert its owners. This is Z's.

Wait for the food part, right now I only have to blog about pets hahaha.
